In the fast-paced world of modern life, where the unrelenting pursuit of productivity often leaves us feeling empty and unfulfilled, I discovered my calling in the ancient practice of Feng Shui. In this article, I want to share my journey and how it turned into a mission to guide others, particularly through transitions as challenging as parenting and divorce and as exhilarating as entrepreneurship.
Beginnings of a Transformational Journey
My journey began with my struggles in the corporate world. Despite achieving what many would consider 'success,' I felt a profound disconnect—a void that professional achievements couldn't fill. The realization hit me during a transformative period in my life: transitioning through divorce while trying to maintain strength and harmony for myself, my kids, and my clients. It was during this time that I leaned more into Feng Shui, not just as a practice but as a lifestyle.
Embracing Feng Shui: A New Foundation
The principles of Feng Shui, which emphasize harmony and the flow of energy, or 'chi,' resonated with me deeply. I realized that the environments we cultivate externally mirror our internal states. By aligning my surroundings, I was able to foster a sense of peace and clarity that had eluded me. This newfound alignment helped me navigate motherhood, and through divorce not merely with resilience but with a reinvigorated sense and a reuniting of self.
The Birth of Cloud 9 Feng Shui
You see, Cloud 9 Feng Shui was conceptualized the evening of a Supermoon in February 2019, when I spontaneously birthed my son in my driveway. The message I received at that time was to step fully into my power and to live with more intention and regard for my intuition. Inspired by my personal transformation, I enrichened my services within Cloud 9 Feng Shui, aiming to help others create spaces that reflect and support their true selves. The response was overwhelming, affirming that many were hungry for change, for a way to escape the 'grind culture' that had left them drained and disillusioned.
Expanding Horizons: Education and Collaboration
My commitment to spreading the benefits of Feng Shui led me to co-found the Intrinsic School of Feng Shui with Steve Kodad of The Feng Shui Cure. Here, we educate others not just to practice Feng Shui but to understand its profound impact on well-being and decision-making. Alongside this, I serve on the Board of Directors for the International Feng Shui Guild and contribute to the Conscious Collaboration Podcast and Collective on Facebook, and the High Vibe Entrepreneurial Women group, fostering a community of like-minded individuals who aspire to lead lives of purpose and harmony.
